Biography

Dr Onyinyechi Ruth Nwagwe is a Senior Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Biochemistry, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. She holds a doctorate degree in Applied Biochemistry from the Federal University of Technology Akure, which she bagged in 2024. Her research focuses on food biochemistry with emphasis on food chemistry and utilisation of functional foods as dietary treatments in the management of chronic diseases and reproductive disorders.
Dr Nwagwe has participated in several national and international academic conferences and has published scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus /WoS. She is committed to advancing knowledge through quality teaching, impactful research and academic service.
Dr Nwagwe teaches undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Biochemistry and is actively involved in supervising students' research and mentoring young scientists.
