Biography
Azabagun Haruna Able is a Lecturer in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He is a dedicated academic, researcher, and mentor with a strong commitment to advancing scholarship in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, security studies, and sustainable development.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Houdegbe North American University, Republic of Benin. He also obtained a Master in Conflict, Security and Development (MCSD) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, Nigeria, and a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (M.Sc) from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
Mr. Azabagun's research interests include peace and conflict studies, conflict management and resolution, security and strategic studies, national security, arms control and disarmament, nuclear security, terrorism and counterterrorism, violent extremism, community resilience, and sustainable development. His research seeks to provide practical and policy-oriented solutions to contemporary peace and security challenges in Nigeria, Africa, and the international community.
As a lecturer, he is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and student mentorship. He is passionate about developing critical thinkers and future leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills required to promote peace, security, and sustainable development. Beyond his academic responsibilities, he actively engages in community service, professional collaborations, and initiatives that foster dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and social transformation.
His vision is to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in peace and conflict studies through impactful research, quality teaching, and service to humanity.
