Biography

I am a Lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. I am a dedicated academic and researcher with a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in sustainable tourism and hospitality management through innovative research, teaching, and community engagement.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Driven by a passion for research and academic excellence, I proceeded to the University of Ibadan, where I earned both my Master's and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Ecotourism related studies.
My research focuses on ecotourism, tourist behavior and experience, environmental sustainability, and sustainable development. I am interested in examining the complex interactions between tourists, tourist communities and tourism destinations, with particular emphasis on promoting responsible tourism practices that balance economic development with environmental conservation. I am especially interested in understanding the factors influencing visitor satisfaction, destination competitiveness, and the long-term sustainability of tourism destinations.
I am actively engaged in scholarly research and academic collaborations that address contemporary issues in tourism development, environmental sustainability, and responsible destination management. I regularly participate in academic conferences and research activities, contributing to knowledge exchange and the advancement of sustainable tourism practices.
Beyond my scholarly pursuits, I am passionate about mentoring students and fostering critical thinking among future professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry. I am also committed to producing impactful research that informs policy, supports sustainable destination management, and contributes to the socio-economic development of communities through tourism.

Research Interests

My research interest focuses on ecotourism related research, tourist behavior and experience, environmental sustainability, and sustainable tourism development. I am particularly interested in understanding how tourism can promote socio-economic development while conserving natural and cultural resources; interactions among tourists, host communities, and destinations, with emphasis on factors influencing tourist behavior, visitor satisfaction, destination choice, loyalty, and revisit intention; availability and effectiveness of tourism facilities and services in enhancing visitor experiences and supporting sustainable destination management; exploring responsible tourism practices, stakeholder collaboration, environmental conservation, and policy interventions that will promote sustainable tourism development. Ultimately, my goal is to produce evidence-based research that informs tourism planning, destination management, and policy while contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
