Biography

Onyinyechi Anyalenkeya, lecturer, researcher and short story writer is a graduate of English and Literary Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the University of Ibadan, both in Nigeria. She teaches African Literature, 19th Century English Novels, and Creative Writing to undergraduate students at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, also in Nigeria. Her areas of research interest include Comparative Literature, Intertextuality, Archetypal Theory, Ritual Drama, and Igbo Gender Studies. She has written and published several journal articles, book chapters and short stories. She is currently a doctoral student, conducting research on the different marriage systems of the Igbo people.
