Research Interests

My research interests are centered on Nutrition and Toxicology, with a focus on understanding how dietary components, natural products, and environmental toxicants influence human health and disease. I am particularly interested in investigating the biochemical and molecular mechanisms through which nutrients and bioactive compounds from medicinal plants promote health, prevent disease, and mitigate toxicity.

My work also explores the toxicological effects of environmental pollutants, heavy metals, xenobiotics, and oxidative stress on biological systems, as well as the protective roles of antioxidants and phytochemicals against tissue damage. I am interested in evaluating the safety, efficacy, and therapeutic potential of natural products using both experimental and biochemical approaches.

In addition, I seek to contribute to research on nutritional interventions for the prevention and management of metabolic disorders, liver and kidney dysfunction, anaemia, and other non-communicable diseases. My long-term goal is to generate scientific evidence that supports the development of safe, effective, and affordable nutritional and therapeutic strategies that improve public health and enhance quality of life.
