Biography

Dr. Folasade Oluyemisi Olayinka is a Lecturer in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Science Education, a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Biology, and a Nigeria Certificate in Education (Biology/Geography). She is passionate about advancing science education through innovative teaching, impactful research, and academic leadership.

Her research interests include Biology Education, STEM Education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, curriculum studies, teacher professional development, e-learning, and the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into teaching and learning. She has published extensively in reputable national and international journals, contributed chapters to academic books, and presented papers at numerous conferences. Her research focuses on enhancing science teaching and learning through technology-driven and learner-centered instructional approaches.

Dr. Olayinka is a Fellow of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (FSTAN) and a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). She is also a member of the Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON) and the Gender Studies Association of Nigeria (GSAN). She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Biology Education Unit at FUOYE and the National Treasurer of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria.

Committed to excellence in teaching, research, mentorship, and professional service, Dr. Olayinka continues to contribute to the advancement of science education through scholarly research, curriculum innovation, and the effective integration of emerging technologies into education.
