Biography

ADEBAYO Anthony Abayomi is an Associate Professor/Reader at Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He attended University of Ibadan for BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Sociology with specialization in Gender, Social Policy and Development. He began his journey into the academia at the Department of Sociology, Federal University Oye-Ekiti when he assumed duty as an Assistant Lecturer on 2nd October 2012. At the Department, he has served Examinations Officer, Students' Level Adviser, Postgraduate Coordinator and Head of Department in 2022/2023 Academic Session. He is also serving as the incumbent Head of Department of the Department of Gender and Development Studies in the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies. He has published widely in many local and international reputable journals. His dexterity at publications has ranked him in the Top 10 of the FUOYE lecturers by the reputable global AD Scientific Index He has attended and presented papers at academic conferences in Nigeria, USA, Australia, South Africa, Austria and France.
