Biography

Dr. Olatomiwa Olubunmi Ariyo is a Lecturer I in the Department of Microbiology at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), where she is actively involved in teaching, research, and community service. She holds a Bachelor of Technology, a Master of Technology, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Food Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Dr. Ariyo's research focuses on edible mushrooms, functional foods, food safety, antimicrobial agents, and nutraceuticals, with particular interest in enhancing the nutritional and health-promoting properties of Pleurotus ostreatus. She has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in reputable national and international journals. With over a decade of professional experience spanning university administration and academia, she is committed to advancing microbiological research, mentoring students, and contributing to sustainable food systems through scientific innovation.
