Mrs. Olufunmilayo Esther ADERIBIGBE

Biography

Mrs. Olufunmilayo Esther Aderibigbe is an Assistant Librarian at the Central Library of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. She holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the same University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the discipline. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Olabisi Onabanjo University and an Ordinary National Diploma from Lagos State Polytechnic. Her professional and research interests include knowledge organisation, digital literacy, digital resource management, information-access ethics, academic library services and user-centred learning support.

Before her appointment as Assistant Librarian, Mrs. Aderibigbe served as an Administrative Officer II in the Personnel Affairs Division of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, where she handled management decisions, personnel records, official correspondence and confidential administrative information. She had earlier worked at Bowen University Primary School, Iwo, as a Class Teacher and School Supervisor from 2012 to 2023, and also gained service experience at Unilag Guest House and Sheraton Hotel and Towers. Her background in education, administration and information management equips her to contribute meaningfully to research support, digital scholarship and effective library service delivery.

Research Interests

Knowledge organisation, digital literacy, digital resource management, information-access ethics, academic library services, and user-centred learning support.
