Biography

Engr. Dr. Opadoja Dele is a Nigerian Mechanical Engineer, academic, researcher, grant consultant, and pastor with over a decade of experience in engineering education, research, and innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Energy/Thermofluid Option) from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria, where he serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Before joining FUOYE, he served at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, as the Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering Technology, providing leadership in academic administration, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

Dr. Opadoja is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), and the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE). His research interests include renewable and sustainable energy systems, biofuels, biodiesel and bioethanol production, nanotechnology-enhanced fuels, engine combustion and performance, biomass conversion, and sustainable engineering solutions. His work focuses on developing cleaner alternative fuels from non-food biomass and agricultural residues.

He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Academic and Grant Writing Domain (AGD), an initiative dedicated to mentoring researchers, strengthening research capacity, promoting scientific writing, and supporting grant acquisition. Through AGD, he has organized several international lecture series featuring renowned scholars and grant experts.

In addition to his academic career, Dr. Opadoja serves as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is passionate about research commercialization, interdisciplinary collaboration, capacity building, and advancing sustainable engineering innovations that contribute to national development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Research Interests

His research interests focus on renewable and sustainable energy systems, biofuels, biodiesel and bioethanol production, nanotechnology applications in fuels, engine performance and combustion analysis, biolubricants, biomass conversion technologies, and energy optimization. His research has contributed to the development of environmentally friendly alternative fuels from non-food biomass and waste resources, with particular emphasis on improving fuel quality through nanotechnology and sustainable engineering practices.
