Biography

Lukman Adewale Salaudeen is a faculty member at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, where he teaches and mentors pharmacy students. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. His research interests span natural product chemistry, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmaceutical and environmental analysis; with a particular focus on toxicological assessment and the quality control of pharmaceutical and herbal products. His work has explored herb-drug interactions, examining the effects of medicinal herbs on the pharmacokinetic profiles of conventional drugs, alongside toxicity studies of medicinal plants. His current research focuses on how herbal compounds influence the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs used in diabetes treatment.
Through his teaching and mentorship at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, he is committed to training the next generation of pharmacists in rigorous scientific inquiry and evidence-based practice. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK, and the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN).
