Biography

Obinna Iroegbu (PhD) is a Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. He holds a First Degree in English Studies from the University of Port Harcourt. His Master’s and PhD, obtained from Ekiti State University and University of Port Harcourt, respectively, were on J.P. Clark’s poetry. He has published a number of journal articles on Clark’s poetry and the works of iconic Nigerian authors. Iroegbu’s main research interest is in the language of Literature (Stylistics). He also teaches courses in English Morphology and Syntax as well as Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis.
