Biography
Dr. Comfort Oluwaseun Opadoja
Lecturer II, Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ikole Campus.
Dr. Comfort Oluwaseun Opadoja is a Lecturer II in the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ikole Campus. She began her lecturing career in 2015 and joined the services of Federal University Oye-Ekiti in March 2026.
She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, obtained in May 2026. She also holds M.Sc. degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, conferred in 2017, and a Bachelorβs degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in 2011.
Dr. Opadoja is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). She is also a member of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE) and a member of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN)
She is passionate about impacting knowledge through research and publications. She is committed to academic excellence, community service, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. She is a child of God.
Research Interests
My research includes but not limited to;
1. Soil and Water Conservation Engineering - Sustainable soil management, erosion control, and water conservation techniques for agricultural productivity
2. Wastewater Treatment and Reuse in Agriculture - Effects of treated agro-industrial wastewater, especially cassava wastewater, on soil properties and crop performance
3. Soil Fertility and Environmental Impact Assessment - Evaluation of the impact of agricultural wastes on soil health, plant growth and the environment
4. Sustainable Agricultural Waste Management - Resource recovery and utilization of cassava processing effluents for crop production
5. Climate-Smart Agriculture - Promoting sustainable practices that enhance soil and water resources for food security
