Biography

Agbetayo Juwan Christianah is a dedicated nurse-midwife, educator, and researcher whose career exemplifies a seamless blend of clinical excellence and academic rigor. With more than eight years of hands-on clinical experience, I have earned a reputation for delivering holistic, patient-centered care and for consistently pursuing knowledge to elevate the nursing profession in Nigeria. My foundational training began at the Kwara State College of Nursing in Ilorin, where I earned my Registered Nursing (RN) certificate in 2009. In 2012, I completed a specialized midwifery qualification (RM) at the Kwara State College of Midwifery in Ilorin, equipping me with advanced skills in maternal and neonatal health. These early credentials laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to improving health outcomes for women and children. Recognizing the need for deeper theoretical and research-based knowledge, I returned to academia and earned my Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, in 2021 and registered as a Public Health nurse. My undergraduate studies reinforced my commitment to evidence-based practice. I continued my academic ascent, completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) in 2025, during which my research examined critical issues in public health and nursing leadership. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at ABUAD, with research interests focused on Intimate Partner Violence among HIV/AIDS patients. Throughout my clinical career, I have worked across diverse healthcare settings, managing complex obstetric cases, providing antenatal and postnatal care, and mentoring junior nurses. My eight years of practice have given me frontline insights into the challenges and triumphs of Nigerian healthcare delivery.
