Biography

EGBO, Ken Amaechi is a Reader (Associate Professor) and a Socio-Criminologist in the Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He is a prominent scholar, academic, and researcher specializing in the fields of criminology, security studies, sociology of deviance, community policing/law enforcement and cybersecurity . He lived and trained in the United States of America for 28 years, after which he joined Federal University Oye-Ekiti in 2012. His academic profile highlights extensive research into contemporary socio-economic challenges, the dynamics of institutional and community policing, and the structural causes of youth deviance and vulnerability within Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Nigeria.
