Biography

Omolola Oluwasola has over a decade's experience as a journalist and media consultant before joining the academics, beginning her career with Guardian Newspapers, from where she moved to Punch Newspapers. She is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan from where she earned her first degree in Communication and Language Arts. She later obtained a Master's degree in Mass Communication from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). She left the media to join the services of the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) in 2016, where she taught Media and Communication Studies courses for several years. She currently teaches Mass Communication at Federal University, Oye- Ekiti, Ekiti, Nigeria. A specialist in Digital Strategic/ Marketing Communication, Journalism, Development Communication and Media Studies Oluwasola is a PhD candidate in Communication and Language Arts (at the University of Ibadan) with keen research interest in digital/Strategic Marketing Communication. Oluwasola is a member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN). She has written several articles in reputable international journals as well as chapters in learned books.
