Dr. Banji Rildwan Olaleye

Biography

Dr B.R. Olaleye is a faculty member for over 13 years of experience spanning university administration, teaching, and research, his career reflects a rare blend of institutional stewardship and scholarly excellence.

Dr Olaleye holds a PhD in Business Management from Girne American University, Turkey, an MSc from Obafemi Awolowo University, and a BSc from Olabisi Onabanjo University. His research spans strategic management, innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and supply chain management, with over 100 published works, including journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters featured in reputable journal outlets. He boasts a Google Scholar citation count of over 1000, with an h-index of 18.

Beyond his research output, Dr Olaleye's passion for developing younger scholars runs through nearly every facet of his career. He has supervised numerous master's and doctoral students across South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, and Lesotho, guiding their research from proposal to completion. He served as one of the pioneer lecturers establishing the Department of Business Administration at FUOYE, helping design its curriculum and secure accreditation for future generations of students. As Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, he has helped oversee the welfare and development of over fifty thousand students. He also mentors early-career academics through structured programmes such as the AIB-Africa Chapter's mentoring initiative for African scholars, and serves as an external examiner for postgraduate programmes at institutions including Rhodes University and Botho University.
